My name is Joshua Ray and my wife, Lauren, and I live in Northern California. I received a B.A. in English Literature at California State University, Long Beach and an MDiv from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary’s (now renamed Gateway Seminary following their relocation to SoCal).

Currently I am the Co-Director of the Music Ministry at my church. For the four years in-between graduating from Long Beach and going to GGBTS I was on staff with The Navigators, first at CSULB and then at UC Davis. Discipleship is a passion of mine: taking ideas and thoughts about God, His Word, and our lives as believers and teaching them to others who will in turn teach others (2 Timothy 2:2).

I love learning and reading as well as music (especially worship music, but lots of other kinds too). Thanks for taking some time to peruse my blog!

If you’d like to get in contact with me I would love to hear from you!

My blog is meant to generate discussion and share ideas or resources, not offend or hurt. I hope and pray that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart would be pleasing in God’s sight (Psalm 19:14) and that no unwholesome word proceed from my mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29).

Love the site! Stumbled upon it tonight- so glad I did! I’ve been struggling with some doubts.

Glad you like it! I just updated this page to include a contact form if you ever wanted to reach out: I can’t promise answers, but I’d love to hear more about where you’re at with your doubts. It’s ok to have doubts, by the way! It’s proof you’re taking things seriously and asking tough questions. Thanks for sharing and commenting 🙂
